Earlier this year, I expanded my free podcast series in response to COVID-19 school closures, to include parent and guardian focused content. As an educator, parent, and grandparent, I recognized the unique challenge parents were facing and wanted to give them tools and ideas to help them support their children’s learning at home.

Continuing down this path, I decided to create another series to assist teachers with challenges inside the classroom and with distance learning. I am excited to be working to deliver ideas, tips, and strategies that teachers can utilize the very next day!

All of my podcasts are free. The following is a sampling of the first two teacher-focused podcasts. Please note that many of my other podcasts are applicable to teachers and instructional coaches who may want to forward to staff.

• Students Cause Student Achievement – It’s “what students do” that generates the learning outcomes and standards mastery that we as teachers set out to accomplish. In this episode, I explore how identifying the student learning production behaviors that generate the desired learning outcomes, focus a teacher or PLC’s approach to planning instruction.
• Teachers Encouraging Parent/Student Learning Activities – In this podcast, I am joined by Arin Casavant, a science teacher at Bismark Public Schools in North Dakota, to explore how teachers can create parent support in order to maximize student learning during school closures.
